Right at Home Sydney Ryde Celebrates 5 Years in Business
Right at Home Sydney Ryde owners Binal and Jay Patel are celebrating five years in business! Taking out the Staff Satisfaction Award in 2025 at Right at Home’s annual Caregiver of the Year Awards and conference, Binal and Jay are proven leaders within the Right at Home network and in their community.

Having worked for many years in hospitals as a Registered Nurse, Binal saw firsthand just how many patients were struggling to access quality care at home. This prompted her to seek opportunities in home care franchising.
“I saw a strong opportunity to continue my practice as a Registered Nurse while making a real difference,” Binal explains.
“This industry allows me to support people in their own homes, provide the best possible care, and create employment opportunities within the community.”
Binal found Right at Home through a referral from an existing franchise owner.
“After meeting her,” Binal says.
“I felt confident in my decision to pursue Right at Home.
“That conversation gave me a clear vision and trust in the brand; I knew I wanted to join Right at Home Australia.”
Over the past five years, Binal says she has learned a lot about leadership, making business decisions, and building confidence.
“These skills have helped me to grow both personally and professionally,” she says.
One of the biggest challenges for the Right at Sydney Ryde team has been building a strong reputation in the local community.
Binal says that to overcome this challenge, she had to trust herself, work hard, and remain present in the community.
“Consistency and dedication helped build trust over time,” Binal explains.
“Building relationships takes time, but it is very rewarding.
“When you genuinely support the community, trust develops naturally, and those relationships become strong and long-lasting.”
There is no magic formula for becoming a successful Right at Home Franchise Owner. That said, Binal points to presence, involvement, and team building and support as key components.
“Whether you’ve come from health care or not, you must be present every day, stay involved, and support your team,” she explains.
“Being hands-on, available, and responsive builds trust and trust drives success.
“Running a small business is not easy, but if you show up every day and give your best, success will follow.
“Most importantly, ensure your clients, carers, and office staff are supported and satisfied because without them, there is no business.”
Five years on and Binal and Jay are grateful for the continued support of Home Office, the network of other franchise owners, and their incredible Sydney Ryde team.
“We could not have done it without them,” Binal says.
