Right at Home held its eighth annual conference and awards dinner last week on Queensland’s Gold Coast. The two-day event brought together franchise owners from across the country, and with more than 60 offices in five states and two territories, there was plenty to celebrate.  

The awards evening gives us the opportunity to celebrate excellence across the network and recognise achievements in growth, innovation, resilience, operational excellence, leadership, and care delivery. We acknowledge offices that have achieved exceptional results, teams that have embraced the values of Right at Home, and individuals whose contributions have made a lasting impact on clients, families, and colleagues. 

Congratulations to the 2026 Award Recipients 

City Award | Right at Home Sydney Northern Beaches 

This award recognises an office that has not only embraced the values and standards that define Right at Home but has also achieved the highest gross sales within the city category. The recipient of this award has demonstrated what can be achieved when passion for care, business excellence, and the Right at Home values work hand in hand. The Sydney Northern Beaches team is a credit to the network and community. 

Country Award | Right at Home Kalgoorlie Wheatbelt 

Operating in regional and rural communities brings both unique opportunities and challenges. Success in country markets requires strong local relationships, deep community connections, and a team that is committed to making a real difference in the lives of clients. This award recognises an office that has not only embraced the values and standards of Right at Home and maintained a strong focus on compliance and quality but has also achieved the highest gross sales within the country category. 

Growth Awards | Right at Home Ipswich Lockyer Valley | Right at Home Northern Rivers 

Sustained growth is one of the strongest indicators of a successful business. While achieving growth in the early stages of operation is an accomplishment, maintaining momentum year after year requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, operational excellence, and an unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding service. Both Ipswich Lockyer Valley in the 2+ years category and Northern Rivers in the 4+ years category have demonstrated remarkable commitment, resilience, and a drive for continuous improvement.  

Rookie of the Year | Right at Home Geelong 

Starting a new business is never easy. It takes courage to step into unfamiliar territory, determination to overcome challenges, and an unwavering belief in what is possible. The Rookie of the Year award celebrates outstanding achievement in an office’s first year of operation. The Geelong team has shown strong growth and compliance, a commitment to quality care, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of older Australians and people living with a disability. 

Battler of the Year | Right at Home Sydney Inner West 

The Battler of the Year award is in its inaugural year and is presented to the office that has taken a longer time to get off the ground. The Sydney Inner West team has continued to put in the hard work; they have kept the faith, and have never stopped believing in each other, their community, and their clients.  

Franchise of the Year | Right at Home Far North Queensland 

This award recognises an office that demonstrates everything Right at Home strives to be. This is not an award based on a single measure of success. Rather, it recognises excellence across all aspects of the business, including growth, quality, compliance, workforce stability, client outcomes, leadership, culture, and an unwavering commitment to the values that define our organisation. 

The recipient of this award consistently demonstrates what it means to be a leader within the Right at Home network. Far North Queensland has become a strong and sustainable business, fostering an engaged and high-performing team while remaining dedicated to delivering quality care and support to every client they serve. 

Caregiver of the Year | Nila Kandel from Right at Home Kalgoorlie Wheatbelt 

The National Caregiver of the Year award recognises individuals who consistently go above and beyond, embodying the values of Right at Home and making a lasting impact on clients, families, colleagues, and their communities. This year, we received an incredible number of nominations across the network. The quality of nominations was exceptional, making the judging process one of the most challenging we have faced. 

We wish to congratulate Nila for achieving our network's highest honour and are looking forward to sharing her story in the coming weeks.
