An ageing population, shorter hospital stays, and a preference for ageing at home are fueling the demand for in-home senior services. As such, the home care market is guaranteed to grow for the next 20 years and remains insulated from macroeconomic factors.
What makes Right at Home different from other home care companies?
Our biggest differentiator is in our care mission, to improve the quality of life for those we serve™. We exceed expectations by consistently providing the RightCare™, backed by the RightPeople™, providing the RightServices™, with the RightApproach™. We have a holistic care outlook, supported by an outcome-driven and measurable care planning process that includes all aspects of a client’s well-being. At Right at Home, we focus on the individual and their specific care needs.
How long has Right at Home been in business?
Allen Hager founded Right at Home in 1995 in Omaha, Nebraska, where the care mission to improve the quality of life for those we serve™ was born. Allen worked for many years in healthcare as a hospital administrator. While in the hospital environment, he watched senior patients return home but not necessarily to health, many unable to care for themselves. Daryl and Karen Sahli founded Right at Home Australia in 2014 after experiencing caregiver demands with their own ageing family. Daryl and Karen wanted to bring that care philosophy to Australian communities. Today Right at Home Australia has 54 offices operating across Australia and growing.
What are the initial investment and minimum financial requirements?
Right at Home Australia’s initial franchise fee is $120,000 plus GST. Potential franchisees should also have at least $250,000 in liquid funds.
How long does it take to open for business?
After the Franchise Agreement is signed, most franchisees open for business within three to four months.
What experience do I need to have to be considered for approval?
There is no magic formula or personality test that will tell you whether you can successfully work in the home care business. Home care experience is not a prerequisite. However, you should have entrepreneurial and/or senior management experience, be resilient, display confidence and enthusiasm for selling home care, be able to motivate others, be a quick learner and able to pass on knowledge and skills to staff, and be able to learn and demonstrate good knowledge of the home and healthcare industry.
What training do you provide?
Right at Home has launched several programs, including RightStart™, RightTransitions™, RightCare™, and the Profit Mastery Program, to assist franchise owners in developing stronger, healthier, and more profitable businesses. We offer valuable benefits and training to help franchise offices of all sizes become more established and knowledgeable in the home care industry.
Can I run my Right at Home business from my personal, residential home?
No. You are required to lease an office space that will serve as your main office for managing the business and caregiver recruitment.
Can I be an absentee owner?
Absolutely not. This is an owner-operator model. As the business grows, you may hire an operations manager.
